Latest GP Next Generation Access news – roll out begins and accept your migration orders (Sep 2012)
The GP NGA Migration programme began in late July 2012 so far we have had 4878 GP NGA migration orders accepted and 1806 completed web forms returned, out of 6589 total sites eligible for NHS Connecting for Health (NHS CFH) funded N3 connections. In September we deployed the first GP NGA migration pilot site at Southdene Surgery, London who have received a N3-2-72Q and are now experiencing a significant increase in bandwidth; 20Mbps (upstream) and 40Mbps (downstream). N3SP and NHS Connecting for Health hosted a number of drop in calls in August and September for Migration Manager to raise questions and issues that they or their sites have had. Read more ....
N3 working hard to improve Customer Satisfaction (Sep 2012)
The N3SP Customer Satisfaction ‘Dissatisfaction Service Measure' (DSM) score for Wave 16 has increased from 7.7 per cent to 9.3 per cent. Whilst N3 has seen a general improvement throughout the survey lifecycle; this recent increase in the Dissatisfaction Service Measure is disappointing. The key areas of concern which are being addressed are; engineer's performance, Keeping Customer Informed (KCI) products and services, CRM portal, KCI faults and KCI order. The highlights for wave 16 are; network availability, internet gateway and account management. Read more ....

N3 Enhanced Internet Gateway and the London 2012 Olympic and Paralympic Games (Sep 2012)
As we all reflect on the magnificent London 2012 Olympic and Paralympic Games N3SP would like to report how the N3 Enhanced Internet Gateway has performed over this exceptional period. The N3 Internet Gateway has clearly been busy. Most days it has been running at 4.5 to 4.9 Gbps of traffic and has peaked for short periods at the maximum 5.0 Gbps. However, we have not had the sustained demand at 5.0 Gbps that would have necessitated the N3SP mitigation plans. Read more ....
N3 WebEx shortlisted for the UK IT Industry Awards (Sep 2012)
N3SP and Camden and Islington NHS Foundation Trust are jointly shortlisted in the "IT project demonstrating most effective use of collaborative technology" category, highlighting how N3 WebEx was used by the Trust to deliver their e-learning projects. The project trained 1,900 staff in the latest RiO system upgrade via N3 WebEx, scheduling one-to-one web-training sessions instead of sending multi-disciplinary teams from 40 sites to the training centre. N3 WebEx has increased the productivity and efficiency of time-critical clinicians, providing flexible and recordable web-based training. Read more ....
