Use the new N3 Customer Relationship Management (CRM) Portal to raise Change Requests (Oct 2010)
The N3 CRM Portal is being changed to allow Community of Interest Network (CoIN) customers to raise Change Requests via the N3 CRM Portal.
This new process, currently available to Fully Managed CoINs in Business as Usual (BaU) status, removes all the current manual order activity and emails. Read more ....
New Gateway for sharing information between government organisations (Oct 2010)
N3 is working with Government Connect to provide a new gateway between the N3 network and the Government Secure Intranet (GSi) network.
Government Connect is a pan-government programme providing an accredited and secure network between central government and every local authority in England and Wales. The N3 - Government Connect gateway will enable councils in England to share information with their counterparts in the NHS.
The gateway will prove particularly useful to both NHS and Social Services employees who work in their opposite's buildings, for instance, a nurse who works from a local authority building or a social worker who works from an NHS building. Read more ....
Use Cisco 7911G handsets whilst working away from your usual desk (Oct 2010)
Extension mobility available on Enhanced (Cisco 7941 and Cisco 7942) and Premium (Cisco 7961 and Cisco 7962) models has been extended to the Cisco 7911G handset.
This extension allows users working away from their usual desk and handset to log into an alternative handset and access their personal IP telephone settings. Read more ....

Changes to IPStream threshold levels (Sep 2010)
The existing HSCR traffic light reporting thresholds (the level at which HSCR will report a red status) were originally set for DataStream services. Now that DataStream has been replaced by IPStream (which provides greater bandwidth),the current threshold values need to be increased. Read more ....
