N3 Voice Services Hosted Platform Upgrade (May 2011)
As part of our Supplier's ongoing commitment to enhance the services offered to N3, a series of maintenance releases are currently being planned to the hosted platform to improve the N3 Voice service.

Health organisations in Hull get improved bandwidth with new catalogue services (Mar 2011)
N3 Users in Hull are now enjoying increased bandwidth thanks to a recent upgrade of their service to IPLine. The IPline product offers up to 8Mbps downstream bandwidth and up to 832Kbps upstream capacity. As part of the upgrade a choice of three catalogue services are available to new customers in the Hull area. Read more ....
Migrate to the N3 National Next Generation Ethernet services for a more efficient and cost effective network (Mar 2011)
In August 2010 N3 launched a new set of Ethernet services supported by Next Generation network technologies. These Next Generation Ethernet (NGE) services offer cost effective networking at 10, 25, 50 and 100mb/s. Phase 1 is nearing completion with 75 per cent of customers already migrated to their new service with the remaining services due to be commissioned during April 2011. Read more ....

There are 400 registered users of the Portal but there are many more N3 Users who could benefit from the service. Keeping you connected during the Big Freeze (Mar 2011)
NHS staff who were signed up for N3's Remote Worker solution benefitted from the flexibility that the service provided during this winter's Big Freeze. The N3 Remote Worker tokens let users access all the data they would normally access at their desks, by simply logging on at any internet-connected location. During the adverse weather conditions, users could avoid the travel chaos and stay connected locally, knowing that information was being exchanged with their office location securely and in real time. Single User VPN versus Extended VPN – do you know the difference? (Mar 2011)

N3 wins e-Government National Award for third year running (Mar 2011)
NHS CFH and N3 Service Provider (N3SP) scooped a joint award for their effective partnership at the e-Government National Awards on 26 January. The event also saw the teams secure their third e-Government award in as many years. The e-Government awards are the UK's most closely watched public sector technology event. They recognise excellence and innovation in digital initiatives in national and local government, the NHS, education and the voluntary sector. Read more ....
